On October 21-22, 2024, we took part in a training entitled “Practical introduction to project management”, which was organized by Enterprise Advisors. The workshops were led by an experienced trainer Karol Czapik, and the aim of the event was to familiarize participants with key methodologies and good practices in project management, which are the foundation of the modern approach to project implementation.

Introduction to project management

During the training, EBIS participants had the opportunity to gain knowledge about standards such as IPMA, PMBoK, AgilePM, Kanban, SCRUM, or ITIL4. These are project management methods that help to organize project activities, provide greater control over their course and significantly increase the chances of success of the implemented project. The techniques learned allow for effective management of each stage – from planning through implementation to project closure.

Practical approach and workshop nature of the training

The training was of a workshop nature, which means that it was not limited to theory. Much emphasis was placed on the practical application of the methods discussed. Participants worked in groups, analyzing real cases and testing acquired skills in project simulations. This approach allowed EBIS employees to better understand the mechanisms of project management and use new skills in their daily work.

Teamwork in practice

EBIS participants, including Mateusz Bazan , Dominik Dębowski , Izabela Kołodziejczyk, Magda Blaszczyk, Anna Więcaszek and Jakub Nowicki, actively participated in workshops, sharing their experiences and solving specific project tasks together. Thanks to the diversity of approaches and joint discussions, they were able to gain new perspectives on project management, which they will certainly use in future projects at EBIS.

Summary

Practical introduction to project management training was an extremely valuable experience for EBIS employees. The knowledge and practical skills acquired will certainly affect the effectiveness of projects implemented in the future. By combining theory with practice, participants not only understood new concepts, but also learned how to implement them in their daily work.

Training such as this is a key element in developing team competences and introducing best practices in the area of project management, which in turn contributes to the success of projects implemented by EBIS.
